Head of the Government of Buenos Aires, Jorge Macri, announced a new mortgage credit program for the middle class, subsidized by the City of Buenos Aires. He stated that the dream of owning a home, which has been postponed for a long time, will become a reality. Previously, the resources of the City's Housing Institute were almost exclusively concentrated on villas and slums, a policy that Macri considered to have failed and generated profound injustice. The new credits will finance up to 75% of the property's value, with a maximum amount of 100 million pesos. The initial payment will not exceed 25% of the household's income. This measure aims to help thousands of middle-class families achieve their dream of owning their own home, focusing on those who pay taxes and follow the rules, rather than a few who were given houses for free.
